We were able to welcome four new Franchisee’s to the family this week, as the world’s largest provider of community sport continues to grow.

Louis Williams (top right) has taken on the Prestwich area (which includes the existing Middleton League, Mohammed and Suhaib (top left and bottom left) Ali will be operating competitions in Bradford, while Mick Sergeant has moved into operating his own leagues, after being the referee and League Official in Chorley for the last few years. All four were at Head Office this week to begin their training.

Leisure Leagues Franchise Support Manager Chris Rowntree, pictured above with the quarter of new partners welcomed them all and said: “What is interesting about this is that each of them has come from different perspectives on our business. Obviously Mick has experienced the events we run and seen what the leagues do for communities, while Louis will be taking on both an existing league and looking to grow the area too and expand with more competitions and Mohammed and Suhaib will be looking to translate their background in football to running their own leagues. It is very exciting.”

Chris added that the wide cross-section of people that were trained this week showed that the Leisure Leagues Franchise model was easily adaptable whatever your circumstances: “We’ve got people who run one league in their hometown, helping the community get fit and getting themselves a decent income and we have many people who make a full time wage from the leagues, it’s so flexible,” he said.

Leisure Leagues Franchise scheme started ten years ago and has since become the largest sports franchise model of its type in the world, with well over a 1 million players taking part in franchised leagues on five continents.
